I Got An Award (without studying)

I’ve had bouquets of flowers when I’ve had babies. I’ve had certificates for ‘showing up’ at college. I’ve had presents when it’s my birthday or anniversary or Christmas or Mother’s Day. I once received a medal for being part of a winning quiz team.  I’ve even won a couple of raffles.

But, no-one has ever rewarded me for just talking.      

I feel as if I’ve missed out somewhere. I’ve been talking for years and the most I’ve ever got was a nod of approval. Or not.

So, this talking malarkey can win awards. You shouldn’t have told me that. I might never shut up now.
