Poetry In Motion And Music

I came across this video as part of a comment here http://ashiakira.wordpress.com/

A response to a very touching story.

And it is just too beautiful not to share. It has everything I love; desert, mountains, waterfalls, ocean, horses, height, depth, big cats, eagle, great voice, wonderful colours. Pretty much everything. Encapsulated in one video. And some fab dresses.

I tried to link it to the original commenter without success. His site is in Romanian and, although Windows translates, it was all taking so long that I gave up trying to find the original link. But, in between, I came across all sorts of other wonderful stuff. This guy has some great videos on here. Music to accompany visuals. The Blue Danube one was just gorgeous. A poet, music lover, football fan.

I would like to invite both these gents, if they should wish, to select any and all awards from my awards page (I haven’t even updated it. My bad. Time, you know.) Anyway, no conditions attached. I just think they deserve them. So, feel free to claim whatever you wish. Two remarkable people.

It’s still amazing to me that people who have ‘liked’ my posts come from all over the world and I check them out and discover gems. That is amazing, isn’t it. Nothing lost in translation – well, not much- with translator. People are people are people the world over. Just goes to show, eh?

  1. This same video, sans the music, was used for a Conjure One song. I was amazed that they same exact video was used, but, well…there it is. I love Ofra Haza, but I think she died some time ago. Not sure.

      1. Yeah, I am sitting here, going what the hell can I write that will make people question my sanity. NOT! I write what I consider normal and realize I am quite whacked already. I am just not letting anybody important know, I will get thrown under the bus for sure then. This nation is getting intolerant of those who need assistance, those who are disabled, so that would make me more disabled, and a toss under the nearest bus, or in my neighborhood garbage truck. (I am convinced the garbage man comes everytime I go outside or open my window just to piss me off!) Yeah, so No, I am not making these things up. I did try to find the other video, but couldn’t locate it before Creed was calling. I will try again, and I will find some info on Ofra. I have her stuff when cassette tapes were in. Yeah, I know, dating myself seriously. I will go for broke, I remember LP’s, 75’s, and 8 track tapes. There, are you happy? LOL

      2. Lol. Our garbage men only come once a week. And they still get on my nerves – refusing to budge so I can get out my driveway. Bigger you see. Bullies.
yes the old LPs. I still play them occasionally just to hear the crackles. Bit of atmosphere you know.
Did you ever have a stereogram? Looked like a coffin with a record player on one side, radio on the other that you had to scroll through channels on and a convenient storage space in the middle to hold about…ooh…er…30 LPs maybe? Very trendy they were at one point. Except when your mum kept the house phone and ornaments on it and you had to do a full scale move every time you wanted to play a record. Ah, the good old days before VHS and Betamax. What happened to them?I still play videos too. Can’t take the dinosaur out of me that easily. New fangled technology that lasts for twenty minutes before being upgraded.
Nice to know Jurassic Park is still alive and well on both sides of the pond. ;)x

      3. I remember the stereograms, but they were at other people’s house. We didn’t have much growing up. No tears now. I actually have a machine which plays VHS on one side and DVD on the other. I think one side is broken, but it has been in storage for 1,000 years so I don’t remember now. I only have certain VHS left now, like National Geographics and Nosferatu.

      4. I’ve still got hundreds of them. Over the years collecting kids’ videos and, because I’ve got a squad here, there’s always another one ready to play them again. I still have my own favourites as well. And stuff taped from the telly. Things I can’t really replace, I suppose. Oh, and my wedding video! Blast from the past. :)x

      1. Couldn’t find any really cred on Conjure One, but they are played all over the place on Pandora music. You do know you can transfer those VHS to DVD. Just saying….LOL

      2. And you’d be referring to recent events I take it? 🙂
And do you know, I’m the one the kids come to to clean up their computers and make them go faster! Lots of sexy little downloadable apps from Major Geeks that light the way.
But phones, cameras, videos, dvd players- not your woman. ;)x

  2. A gorgeous video and song. Love the horse, jumping into that lake would have been frightening, but the underwater shots are stunning. Blogging world – making friendships, still astounds me. As the song says – we leave our mark… in words, in comments in what we write. Continue on lovely lady. 🙂 xx

      1. I think that’s why politicos are kacking it. people interconnected and understanding each other. Can’t have that.
I’m enamoured with the whole experience. I would have been such a total geek if computers had been around in my youth! Probably wouldn’t have read so many books right enough. Did you not say, or was it someone else, that you worried about the fact that your kids weren’t readers? I can understand their reluctance when they have so many other avenues to explore. Books, board games and cards. That was our entertainment back in the dark ages!x
