Shadows

I’m actually feeling fine! Just going with the doom and gloom of Hallowplunker. In case you were worried. 😉 Gonna depress the hell out of myself before this event appears. Skip on by if you’re already depressed. You don’t need this. Good deed done for the day. 🙂

Shrouded in a gloom

Of endless misery,

Darkened, black night

Deforms

Substance, reality.

Confused,

Distorted

Observations,

Acuity of eyes

And thoughts

Dimmed,

Concealed.

Nothing revealed,

Shrouded in a gloom

Of endless misery

And shadows.

  1. Dark and sad – makes me think of people who struggle with a darkness of the soul, things like addiction, mental illness – that keeps them from enjoying the light…

  2. Halloween will be over soon enough! And then you can start writing about Christmas. You do these Halloween poems eerily well. 😉

    1. I’ve already had it up to here. School decorations and parties, kids’ parties and it’s not even here yet. Ah well, not long now. And who mentioned Christmas? That’s ages away yet. I don’t function for Christmas until well into December. Then I panic. :)x
