Conceptualised

In mind you are

Where thoughts propound,

In twilight’s shifting storm,

Transmissions

Regulated by

Heartfelt instincts warm.

Conceptualised

Impulsiveness

Urges clarity,

Synchronised illusions

Roar

For authenticity.

Restrictive brain

Conflicts with aim

Trepidation normal,

Redacted thoughts

Encounter dreams,

Civility fashions formal.

      1. Do eagles have heads that spin. Aw, who (who who) cares? You’re an eagle to me. Not a bald eagle I hope. What kind of eagles do you have in Scotland? The Golden?

      2. Yes, it’s the Golden Eagle. I’ve been trying to insert a lovely pic of one here but I can’t! How come other people can make video links appear in their comments and I can’t? Back to school for me! :)x

      3. To add a video link, you copy the URL (address beginning with http etc). Then you click on “add media” in edit or new post, and you click on “Insert from URL” on the left. Then you paste the URL in the top box and put a title if you want. Click to insert in post and Bob’s Your Uncle. 🙂 That’s the only way I know of to do it. Cheers, Brenda

      4. Ah, that explains how you got a video up (I know I watched). I don’t know how to do it in comments, but I’m guessing you just paste in the link… Never tried. Ask someone who’s left you a video…

      5. Too bad. There must be a trick to it. Ah, well. I’m trying to finish a story to submit in a contest or I might look it up. Another time. Too much work to do! Cheers, Brenda

      6. Do you think they work it like that? That if you’re a known contributor you have more chance? That wouldn’t be fair! All the more luck on your side then. Fingers crossed.x

      7. Well, I just know how people are… And how subjective writing evaluation is. But I’m going to do my best, and if they don’t take it, I have one polished piece, not on my website, to send out to publishers.

It is supposed to be free of that favoritism actually, name not on the piece, but a good author has a voice, and my guess is, they will still pick the voices they know.

Perhaps I’m just being pessimistic because I don’t want to get my hope up too high. Anyway, I’m still working on it. Amazing how hard it is to write a whole story under 1,000 words.

      8. Trying to restrict yourself is difficult. I know I struggle with it. 🙂 Just go for it anyway. Nothing ventured and so on. Your writer’s voice is strong so whether they know you or not it will still carry. x

      9. Thank you!! I’m writing a story about a Magic Grandpa. It’s a ghost story, a story of a birth and about a young boy rescuing his parents, all in 1,000 words. LOL
