wanton disregard
for life, beware its poison

Brilliant, Anne-Marie; I’ve met a few of those in my time – and they are, as you say, lethal. To be avoided at all costs. xxx

Fortunately, my experience of them personally is limited to a few. But, as an observer of human capability for evil I still shudder at the knowledge and how it is manifest. We are a strange species, capable of so much good and evil. When the darkest side is embraced by amyone it scares the bejaysus out of me. But it can’t go unnoticed.x

I read a book years ago – no idea now what it was called – and it featured the basilisk or cockatrice. I was petrified reading it! 😉 x
