still
heart beats faster at the mention of your name
still
image burns in eyes’ eternal flame
still
melody rises when you call
and flutters wing’d within
still
can enthral
still
wonder wrought in words may love extol
still
gladness found in knowledge of your soul
still
dispelling all my worldly fears
with romance met
still
assuaging tears
Love the contrast between the stillness of love and the passion that it brings. A wonderful poem.

Thanks, Chris. I enjoyed penning this after too much political meandering. 🙂 x

Ah, “romance met.” I’m going to let these words steep like tea.
