    1. I’m quite looking forward to finishing them. 🙂 Next on is a wee music challenge if I can run with it for 25 days. But I’ve quite enjoyed doing these. Some were totally new to me while for others it was good to go back and look on afresh. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed them. I won’t ask about any inaccuracies from the expert!:) x

      1. I’ve found no ‘inaccuracies’ at all. One of the enduring wonders of our myths is that they retain resonance and reflective relevance outside of the context in which they were created. Over the last month your poems have illustrated this reality beautifully! Their function insists upon interpretation and new presentations of the themes and motifs and demonstrates how timeless their value remains.

Looking forward to upcoming posts about music! Music and myth- two of my very favourite things!

      2. In fact, that’s one of the aspects I enjoyed about this – seeing how I could relate some of them to our present. It is amazing how similar stories evolved in so many different cultures not all linked to one another in any other way. I thought there might be some inaccuracies given that as I read up on some of them I was being led from pillar to post and discrepancies became evident. It became difficult at times deciding which version to go with. But I suppose in most instances the essence was the same.
The music challenge is being hosted by another blogger. Twenty five questions and choose twenty five pieces of music – one for each day. This will involve homework. Spot the teacher, eh! It’s open to everyone if you’re interested. 🙂 x
