You struggled beneath the surface of unquiet moments
and I strove too,
shared your gasping breaths
of impossible release,
flowed with time
and tide
till saved,
at last,
in the drowning.

That’s dreams for you. Bizarre but incredibly real at times. And weirdly wonderful when they write poems for you! 😉 x

Oh I must write more about dreams…I am so busy this week with dreams. Mom came for a visit last night and I kept going back to sleep and wishing her back in.

Oh, I love when I can go back into them. That’s what I did with this one. I woke with the words forming but knew I’d forget them if I didn’t stay in the sense of it. So I scribbled with my eyes closed trying to stay there and fell back to sleep. Took a bit of deciphering afterwards right enough. 😉

haha, I can imagine you writing with your eyes closed. I really need to start using my recorder on my phone…have it at the ready.

I keep saying I’m going to try that too but I’d be awake by the time I found the app! I don’t even know if it would work for me. I seem to need to see the words on paper and feel them going there. The recorder would be handy in the car when words start coming while I’m driving but I just repeat them over and over till I can stop to scribble. Can take me ages to get some places! 😉

I believe you in that it takes a long time for some writings…lots of heart and sweat in them:)

I do think sometimes it’s the answer…as long as we float to the surface before the last gasp!
