Born of blackest blackness
Without a trace of light
No candle glow
No single flame
To pierce the lens of sight
When out of dark magnificence
Mighty bang ensued
Veiled pitch relieved
All light redeemed
Every hope imbued.
Blessed be dark magnificence
Malevolence was torn
Atomic thunder
Shafted curse
Sight, to us, was born.
…and He said “Let there be light”

He did indeed, Paul. And creativity was born from just before that bang. 🙂

The first line [“Born of blackest blackness”] truly stands out
Plus these verses truly resonated with me:
“Veiled pitch relieved/
All light redeemed/
Every hope imbued”.
Great poem, thanks for sharing and best wishes to you. Aquileana 😀
