A question of semantics. I think. Language can be a great leveller, but also can be used as a malicious divider.

I immediately thought ‘Politics’ when I read that, Chris. But then politics pervades every aspect of life and I just have to think of staffrooms as an example of people doing just as you describe. We really do know how to complicate what should be relatively simple.

A truer word, and all that. How much time do we spend questioning the motives behind the things that others say? Perhaps it’s age, but it could just as well be some innate cynical streak!

Experience? Especially folks’ motivations.

💫🌟 Maybe the question already includes the answer… That was a witty paradox, indeed! … Thanks for sharing & best wishes, Aquileana 😀

Many thanks, Aquileana. 🙂 I think you’re right – simplify to one question and use that as the benchmark, though we’d likely argue interminably over what that question should be! Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend. 🙂

I saw the french version first. My comment was: Because too many people don’t understand.

Is love itself simple or complicated or do we make it so? I’ve always believed it was fairly simple to act out of love but the longer I live the less I see that as the reason behind what we do – arguments, counter-arguments. As Chris says, semantics to justify our worst behaviours.

Because we don’t know unconditional…once found, silence reigns…total acceptance 🙂

Oh that it were so, Mark. It sounds so easy in one sentence but I know from your journey, my own and watching others that it’s a long road to that destination.

Ooh yeah! It is a long hard road so that we do understand. If it was given away dime a dozen we would give it no worth. This way it is appreciated and each time we get closer and closer to ourselves. Unconditional is in there 🙂

Wise man. We only really value rarity it seems.
