I’m mother to 7, wife of almost 30 years, sister, aunt, godparent, daughter, friend, teacher. Do these define me? Well, yes, up to a point. You don’t do or be all these roles without being influenced by them and others defining you by them. But, I’m also just me. And ‘me’ sometimes becomes lost in all the other roles. My blog’s about letting a bit of me out.
Happy mother’s day, seven times over !

Thank you. I saw your comment. As a teacher myself, I’m not blind to ‘distractions’ but rather welcome them and encourage the process, even causing a few myself! Makes for more interesting lessons at times than those intended. I love when education evolves naturally from discussions. I think that teacher had a pretty good handle on that. But let the kids think otherwise. 🙂 x

It happens many a times that we tend to overlook ourselves for the happiness of our loved ones. But we should always remember that their happiness is directly proportional to ours. So let ‘you’ be flowing through words here. Your readers are all ears. A very happy Easter to you 🙂

You have enlivened and encouraged my day today, Prateek. This message is most welcome after a difficult few days fighting my corner. There’s truth in your words I needed to hear. Thank you.

If that’s the case, I would love to attempt writing particularly for you in my next post. Can’t guarantee about its quality, but the source will be the heart for sure. 🙂 Stay strong dear friend. You are an inspiration to many 🙂

You have moved me to tears, Prateek. I’d be honoured to inspire any words. My thanks seem repetitive but they are no less sincere.

I hope these precious ones are the good ones 😛 And I will be honoured to write for such a nice and intelligent person living in the opposite corner of the world. Its funny how we all share so much yet distinguish ourselves from each other.

I think that has to be one of the best bits about blogging, that we get to connect with people we might never otherwise meet and begin to understand more about our shared humanity. ‘All Jock Tamson’s bairns’ as we say here.

No doubt about it. Looking forward to be counted among most cheerful bairns of Jock Tamson with you 😀

Hi there lovely lady, I have nominated you for The Premio Dardos Award! I bet you are quivering in excitement… or perhaps you might be hitting your head against a wall repeating the phrase “Not another award, not another award!” You don’t have to accept this award, but I would love for you to pop over to my blog and come celebrate! There will be imaginary champagne, disco balls and a drumming cat! What more could one want? Hehe.

Thank you very much, Amanda! I’ve never heard of that award. I’m not hitting my head against a wall (yet!) but definitely up to my eyes in work and other shenanigans at the moment. I’ll most surely be over and am extremely grateful for your consideration. It’s so very kind of you. Many thanks.x

I could not understand what you mean by ‘Godparent’.
Inspite of all the attachments your blog stats are so good.
That shows how you are committed to anything and everything.
Congrats !!!

All and yet none, none other could do what you do, doing is the point, and the point is to live a life worth living. Truly living is the elixir of this world. And “blogging”, is a very public way to safely let it all out 🙂

My husband found your blog first and directed me to you after reading this “about” page. As he said, my reason for writing is identical to yours. I need a space, a place I where don’t get lost in anyone else but me. I like what I’ve browsed of yours so far and look forward to more!

Thanks for following Kyrosmagica. I’m curious about your blog name, I take it you have some Scottish blood? I’m part Scottish, on my father’s side, my mum is from Malaysia, but her father was Scottish too! So quite a lot of the Scot in me…
LikeLiked by 1 person
The name was down to my brother too. He set me up with the blog, texted me the name and the password. He chose the Scottish because, yup, I am Scottish, born and bred – Glasgow. The momus part he says came from looking up Greek gods because he knows I love mythology – hadn’t even heard of that one. I kept with the name although most people think the momus is something to do with being a mum! I’m sure I read that you lived in Edinburgh before moving down South – Cambridge? Or you would like to live in Cambridge? And you’re going along to a Bloggers’ Bash in London? It was quite late last night when I was reading instead of being tucked up so I might have some of that wrong. It’s lovely to have you here, Scots blood by any percentage or none. 🙂 x

Hi. Oh so I was right about the Scottish bit, and yes I did think that the Momus had to do with your being a mum. Yes I lived in Edinburgh for many years and moved down to Cambridge with my husband, ( who is also Scottish,) when we got married. I’m going to the Bloggers’ Bash in London, hopefully, went to last years event… 🙂 x

And I you, Krysia. I’m chasing my tail this week and likely for a few more, with work, so I might not be around quite so much. Plans and report cards and blah, blah, blah. Neverending paperwork keeping me up to all hours.

Oh dear I do feel for you and all that paperwork. I could not have gone back to teaching once my youngest had grown up a wee bit. It was Secondary and anyway I had trained in England and was living in Scotland…I am amazed that you found time to answer me at all and for that I feel most privileged. Best of luck with the reports and paperwork and don’t get snowed under… ⛅
