We Bring What We Can

Your photos breathe the beauty of connection

I bring what I can

Your depth of love and willing intervention

I bring what I can

Your wisdom voiced with ageless perception

I bring what I can

Your mysticism met with introspection

I bring what I can

Your analysis, reasoned frustration

I bring what I can

Your healing gentleness and understanding

I bring what I can

Your thoughtful prose and poetry, attention

I bring what I can

Your humour, stoicism, recollections

I bring what I can

Your friendship ‘cross the distance, humbled

I bring what I can

All grist to the mill from splendid isolation

We bring what we can

So many faceless voices, willing

Aspirants of worldly entente cordiale.

In reading and commenting on blogs today, and the word ‘isolation’ running through my mind since waking, I find myself humbled and grateful to be part of this great blogging community. So many others I could have mentioned. So many people everywhere bringing life and thought to their pages. Always reaching out. Bless you all. And, as my lovely blogging bud, Rene, always says in closing her emails and posts – Peace and Love.

Art of the Possible

From the dreams inside, without, about, all over,

Sensibilities subserve to something else,

A notion of a happy ever after,

Token’d, broken lives replaced on shelves.

Voiceless dreams where nameless heroes muster,

Vanguards to the vetoed daylight hours,

Suppressing fatalistic flawed of futures,

Adjusting life in possible detours.

Probable imbalances all equations,

Unfeatured in the changes that we make,

Possibilities thrive in sleep and waking

When willing spirits dream and undertake.

Carry Me

carry me under water, beneath eternal blue,

slip easily, sleek agility.

carry me on water, one penny for Charon,

transport tranquility.

carry me in water, bejewelled surface break,

dive and rise, erupt euphoric serenity.

carry me like water, absorb, replace

blood’s coursing, transfuse divinity.

carry me, drowned in your water, relive the cycle,

unite and fall, suspended totality.

carry me, compulsion, enthral my soul,

lush liquid inevitability.

Affinity

Guided hands feel their way,

Breathless sighs betray.

Fantasy fuels the ardent fire,

Two, transfixed, desire.

Immortal code betrays in flesh

Lovers touch, caress.

A mirrored need to seek the one,

Melded, they succumb.

Dissolving into liquid pool,

Tightened muscles overrule

All mental hope, facility

To rationalise what skin betrays.

Urgent passage to the place

Where blood suffuses; endless grace.

Crescendo in a wanton song,

Affinity where two belong.

How To Undress A Woman

Now Brenda seems to think I’m saucy. Even when I’m not trying to be. Bloody hell, that was just a wee innocent post.  But it did get me thinking about saucy. 😉

How to undress a woman,

Well, I know there’s more than a few,

But for the purposes of clarification,

I’ll list my favourite two.

Begin first of all with your mind and your eyes,

Envision the beauty you’ll see,

Let shimmer of desire spark radiant fire,

She’ll recognise and want to be free.

Now, slowly, uncover each portion of flesh,

Kissing each part as revealed,

Tenderly nibbling on morsels delightful,

Till nothing more is concealed.

Or, hold hands to her head and kiss deeply,

Eyes firing with darkest emotion,

Then, quickly, with no hesitation,

Let four hands resist all slow motion.

One is smouldering passion,

With thoughts swimming round in your head,

The other is urgent, needs no commanding,

Doesn’t need even a bed!

How to undress a woman,

Many the answers there be.

But either of the two depicted

Work wonders for little ole me!

Only Today

For Kerry. It’s always worth it.

Shared understanding,

Only today, your

Liquefied reflections poured forth.

Meanderings. musings,

Only today, may

Prove just some of your worth.

One single spark,

Only today, ignites and

Kindles a flame,

Darkest of night,

only today, may be enlightened

By words you proclaim

Blessed perceptions,

Only today, bearing

Your flint and your steel,

May fire one heart,

Only today, for

Someone who knows you are real.

 Tomorrow will dawn,

Today will go on

And writing will still play its part.

Posting and working,

Reflecting , supporting,

Loving with all of your heart.

Nothing surreal,

In words that may heal,

Fellowship known from afar.

You may never know it,

Today may not show it

But follow your bright shining star.

A Combustible Cold

iceberg melting

Cold as ice,

Heart frozen,

Arctic love’s betrayal.

Haunted by

All memories

Future tenderness must fail,

Till fire of passion

Burns.

Such flame!

Torch

To melt

Relieves the pain.

Drip by

Liquescent drip

Reveals,

Heart

Intact, complete,

So heals.

Ardour

May thaw

The frostiest heart,

With kiss of

Desire

Hurt departs.

Loving blaze,

Freely given,

Each flame,

Caresses,

Calls,

Combusts and claims.

Fire 3

Disclaimer!  (These photos are the copyright of others’ but unknown to me. Some are from national newspapers and others from private individuals. I will gladly allocate credit if claimed. The iceberg is free!)

With thanks to Mark’s Gallery for these pictures he posted, depicting bush fires currently rampant in Australia. He kindly obliged with photos of Fire after I had joked that I was going to write poems working my way through all the elements, having done some on Air and Water. These pictures, although of actual events, elicited in me an entirely different sort of response. My apologies if some of them are depressing! But some of them are loving and sensual. So a good balance I would say, eh?

Heart’s Desire

Missed the postman the other day for the daily prompt on angst and longing!

But just going for it anyway as it was ready. Hate to waste anything.:)

Oops! My bad. Not Daily Prompt but Angst and Longing ( WEEKLY storyboard)  So, I didn’t miss the postman! Knew I’d seen it somewhere.

Well, there are so many. 😉

Heart’s Desire

Lost in contemplation of your mind,

I close my eyes to sleep but then I find

That night time dreams are permeated all by you

Just as conscious state is marked all day thus too.

You’ve woven threads within my very being,

Interlinked and intricate in weaving,

Threaded through the fabric of my core,

Bound, in mind and heart, for evermore.

To snip the thread would cause my soul to bleed,

Wanting you has now become my need,

A blessed, aching, burning thing of fire.

In essence, you are my heart’s desire.

To a Dear One

It’s strange the way life seems to go,

Those deserving get no show

Of all the things that make life grand

A touch, a taste, the hold of hand

To mask the loneliness within.

Relieve the aching want.

Life is such a bitch at times

She really is, (don’t know what rhymes)

But, rest assured, I’ll hammer doors,

I’ll kick them in on all the floors

To ensure

You have that love.

There is no other one I know

Quite so deserving so I’ll go

To where He waits to answer pleas,

I’ll get down on my bended knees.

I swear

You will know love.

I trust in God, I have no fear,

He asks sometimes for curse and swear.

He’s cool with that, I know this too,

He created all, so nothing new

To He that holds all answers

To our prayers.

My selfishness has known no end

A truly jealous awful friend

Who sought to keep

All I saw deep.

Not mine to own

I fear.

But fear not you, I guarantee,

I shout for all who’re close to me

And all others who have need.

I’m bad, at times, but not to feed

From others hurt or misery.

That really is not me.

Watch this space. You hear? I say.

Not many days from hence, I pray,

A love will come and in her grasp

She’ll hold the future you will clasp.

I’m sad,

This loss for me.

But greater than my selfish need, desire

Is happiness for you. I aspire

To turn your cause into my own

To make your house a loving home.

Just watch.

I know the way.

You see, my faith is quite perturbed

When others think that I’m disturbed

Believing what I know to be

In trust and reckless honesty

And vows and wishes.

I see the way.

My gentle friend with heart of gold

Always in my heart I’ll hold

A place for one who is unique

Who loves and wants but cannot speak

Of all

That he would wish.

I’ll wish for you. I’m great at this.

I send to you my fondest kiss

And all the prayers that I can muster

Gathered in a bouquet, cluster

Of joyous

Sweetest dream.

Now go to rest, your life is mine

While you renew the trials of time.

Awake anew, I don’t know when

But life, for you, begins again.

This,

I promise you.
