Grace

Lengthening the vision from soul to spirit

In eternal gratitude touch permeates

All things ingratiating and forever

The vessel that houses our soul will march on

In tune inwardly familiarized with breath

Of a warm complexion, courage of my life

Force resolute, devoted fidelity

Love, love, love, oh my delighted rapture, love

All doors lead to the center of our heart’s core

Swirling colors bringing reverent voices

Thankful to the Father that gives us our depth

I wrote this poem and I felt led to share it with this particular audience. I’m just trying to go with the flow.

Thank you for reading,

Blind Ripples

The time will come, as sure it must,

When flesh and bones return to dust.

Ere this happens to mine state

I challenge life, what may await

Round corners I have yet to veer,

On roads and paths that I must steer

As true to self as I can be

While hurting none as best I see.

The trouble with my self-direction,

Modus operandus, introspection,

Is, I can’t see what acts I do

May taint the world for me and you.

I struggle on as blind man feels,

Alerting senses to what’s real,

Believing that my ripples cast

May count for something that could last

Into eternal consciousness

And, somehow, one day I’ll be blessed

By loving light that comforts soul,

Suffuses dark when all is told

In story of my life on earth,

That task completed had some worth.

For Now

For now, you’ll see a glimpse of life,

A fragment, just a little slice,

Enough to tempt and titillate.

Any more you wouldn’t cope,

You’d lose all trust and sense of hope.

For now, just watch and wait.

For now, my plans are quite concealed,

Later they will be revealed

When time is ripe for you.

Live it now and have no fear,

My eye is watching, hand is near

For now, your life is true.

For now, my angels guide your way,

Protect and shelter come what may,

All this, a mystic plan.

Revel in the gifts I’ve given,

Portents of a hint of heaven,

For now, no better one.

For come the day all answers lie

Before your mind and inner eye

You’ll know my cause was just.

The truth you’ll see and understand,

I hold all life in loving hand

For tread this track you must.

For now, let doubts be cast away,

Trust my love and, in time, sway

To heaven’s blessed chorus.

No greater plan you have to seek,

It unfolds before you, each day, each week

For now, bow to all glorious.

For now, this gift of life I give,

Receive it well and fully live

In spirit’s guiding orbit.

Be sure of love and light eternal,

The hub, the core, I am the kernel

Forever, your soul’s conduit.

For a better place will still appear,

I’ll comfort you and hold you dear,

At journey portion’s end.

Alchemy, base turns pure,

Be not afraid, instead be sure

For I am your truest friend.

Before The Fire

Fire 3

Did once we love

Before all world was charted?

Perchance embrace

Before creation started?

Did angels wonder

That such love sublime

Must be tempered

In the fires of earthly time?

A sojourn here in worlds

So far apart

To test the strength

Of blaze within each heart.

One hellish truth that

Some estranged must be

Caught in fiery flashes

Of mortal frailty.

With thanks to Mark’s Gallery for these pictures he posted, depicting bush fires currently rampant in Australia. He kindly obliged with photos of Fire after I had joked that I was going to write poems working my way through all the elements, having done some on Air and Water. These pictures, although of actual events, elicited in me an entirely different sort of response. My apologies if some of them are depressing! But some of them are loving and sensual. So a good balance I would say, eh?

Inevitability

Words flow freely now

But fail to express.

I begin.

I digress.

The aim is lost.

And the purpose.

The intention ever the same.

To communicate without

Naming names.

To offer without

Being shamed.

Hands easily reach out

And arms hold.

Words struggle,

Cannot be bold.

Enough of confession.

No time to delay.

Parts taken,

Let’s play.

A game is all

It is.

Only earthly reason

To enjoy.

But this.

This loses everything,

Betrays inevitability,

Sinks beneath

Even shallow waters.

No question

Or answer

Can be understood

Or relayed.

Recorded forever

And played

Over and over

Again.

Forever

” Come, live with me and be my love, ” poetic he,

A plea born of sincerity.

Two hearts and souls combined

With mind.

Irresistible request,

Love blest.

And time will play with both,

Burning flame to moth.

‘ Till death us part, ‘ he quoth,

And so, the two betroth.

For life and eternity.
