Grace

Lengthening the vision from soul to spirit

In eternal gratitude touch permeates

All things ingratiating and forever

The vessel that houses our soul will march on

In tune inwardly familiarized with breath

Of a warm complexion, courage of my life

Force resolute, devoted fidelity

Love, love, love, oh my delighted rapture, love

All doors lead to the center of our heart’s core

Swirling colors bringing reverent voices

Thankful to the Father that gives us our depth

I wrote this poem and I felt led to share it with this particular audience. I’m just trying to go with the flow.

Thank you for reading,
Lisa

Tending The Future

The future steps in, wide gait mesmerizing

Will our people be met with grace

The starving tide of the greedy hand

Or a safe-house, built-in love to give

If it be that greed does seed upon our dreams,

Make no mistake, swords in hand we will stand

A love can enfold to have and to hold or even yet

A rage can wash away every slave owner’s wish

We can be one power, standing against a past

The one of shackles and locks to be bound

Every penny aside, embracing life’s bliss

Starving the governors, ignore their duress

Stating the clue, saving grace to the elite

The last time we sit, watching it go down

Our work far from the politics obscene

Artisans who know the difference between

Puppet masters may dance on man-made strings

Strings that will be cut with a slash and a ring

Hear the next generation’s warnings true

Embrace our open arms or be cut down, no remorse

Ours, By Grace

As pennies to the pounds, bronzed and humble,

Subtle seconds ticking off the hours,

A minute’s magic may just make a lifetime

In smallest moments grasped, while here, they’re ours.

Tiny tickettes, talking as they tumble,

Piling up the chances, hand of grace,

Vaults of time, though miniscule, still potent

Tiny portents challenging each race.

By Grace And Understanding

In peril cast they on the shores of deserts,

In buoyant form but stranded in surrounds,

In self-belief and blind by knightly errand,

In cavalerie, air to hostile ground.

On many fronts battles being waged,

On lines at home, in civic buildings wide,

On streets and minds, in military promise,

On internet, fighting side or side.

With truth and lie, many weapons wielded,

With might and strength and cunning subterfuge,

With media encased, pursuing agenda,

With tortured souls, pain raining as deluge.

In time the message alters, takes on meanings,

In hearts of those united in the frame,

In all of history, same brothers form, united

In common cause and called by blood and name.

By change of minds and people centric action,

By understanding why these ways embraced,

By dealing with the core of propaganda,

By altering the way the race is graced.

Affinity

Guided hands feel their way,

Breathless sighs betray.

Fantasy fuels the ardent fire,

Two, transfixed, desire.

Immortal code betrays in flesh

Lovers touch, caress.

A mirrored need to seek the one,

Melded, they succumb.

Dissolving into liquid pool,

Tightened muscles overrule

All mental hope, facility

To rationalise what skin betrays.

Urgent passage to the place

Where blood suffuses; endless grace.

Crescendo in a wanton song,

Affinity where two belong.

This Child

This child who looks so deeply

And intently into my eyes

Is lent to me for a brief time.

A life spent loving her will never be enough

But I will try

In the time I have

To love and guide her

And set her path.

She will stray

And I will wrong

But I’ll try.

We will grow together

And fall apart together

But we’ll try.

Strength is required and guidance and grace.

I will harness all sources and shower her with God’s gifts.

He will bless her and keep her in His cares when mine fail.

But I’ll try.
