    1. I don’t know the man at all or anything about him. I’m just really concerned with things that I am reading and what others are saying in relation to US/global politics/economics. Trying to decipher the truth from the jumble is beyond my capabilities I fear.
      Is there any truth in any of what is being reported? Is there truth in what people are speaking of?
      This man you speak of may be all you say but what of the rest?
      I find it all very worrying and more than a little alarming. Is that the idea?

  2. In my estimation, there is likely little truth in any thing that Glenn Beck says. He is known as a nut to 85% of the US public. There is a small group that follows him because he lies to them so effectively and plays into what is essentially a paranoia about government here. If I were worried about such things, I would go to reliable sources to check on it. I doubt there could be any really truth to this. Can you imagine what the effect would be on world finance if major banks forbade transfers and cash withdrawals? It is nonsense.

    Yes I live in California and I am a centrist who approaches things in a fact-based, calm way. Right now, the inmates are running the asylum — just a small faction of frightened people who are unable to accept change. They make it seem like all of us are going off the deep end and I resent what they are doing to our global reputation.

    1. A voice of calm. It is rare at the moment.

      I have little to no faith in most political parties nor those who represent them. Here in the UK there have been too many incidences of corruption and deceit to merit respect. And for too many years. Some of the tactics and policies implemented to ‘avert’ problems only subvert in reality and people are greatly disillusioned.

      I would never be completely surprised at government machinations in cahoots with conglomerates and power brokers. Lobbyists lay greater claim to policy than people. This is my concern. USA is a mighty force and such a global power. What happens there impacts us all.

      I will certainly do further research on this. But I also take heed of voices from ‘ordinary’ people and their words at the moment do concern me deeply. For all our sakes I sincerely hope that what is being reported about all the military operations and martial prep is merely a scene from a movie yet to be enacted.
      I prefer my world calm.

  3. Well, just fyi, Glenn Beck is not ordinary. He is a multi, multi millionaire that has made money demagoguing and scare-mongering. He dupes very simple, gullible people and all this marital law nonsense is part of a deliberate, disinformation campaign that I am sorry to say is largely the result of bigotry. It is shameful. Things would be just fine here, if these ridiculous tea-partier would simply check the facts.

    1. Thank you. As I say I know nothing of the man. But his ‘report’ was only part of the post.
      Are we to believe then that images of ‘FEMA’ camps, which have only recently come to my intention, are something else entirely? Are there facts to dispute other aspects and information reported? Is the NSA doing what is being suggested or is that a fallacy? Is there genuine fear that the level of US debt to China and other nations is possibly precipitous of escalating non-consensual government action?
      Nothing reported here suggests the level of scaremongering that you say is occurring. But then very little of what is reported on national TV reveals half of the truth. We find this out later.

      Facts, when fully available as facts, will be checked assiduously. I’m asking because I genuinely care to know first hand. Not from reports. Not from TV. Not from newspapers.

      I trust people. Not politicos. And certainly not biased reporting. That is why I am asking.x

  4. No, no FEMA camps. This is the same group trying to strike fear in gullible Americans who have been brainwashed for thirty years of this nonsense. It is appalling and now it is spreading to Europe! Sickening. These people are lunatics and they are reporting things that they know are not true because they make money this way. Read the New York Times or if you must, the Wall Street Journal, but the Times is better. When something sounds wacky, it probably is! No FEMA camps. For heaven sake, Obama is an American, Harvard Educated, attorney. Do you really think he could have gotten elected twice if he were allowing such outrageous Fascist things to go on here? The majority of American do not believe this stuff because they are intelligent. The ones that do believe all this, are rather dim and easily misled.
